The total volume of transactions with precious metals in the main trading mode on the Moscow Exchange in June 2026 increased 2.8 times compared to June 2025, reaching 385.5 billion rubles.
The volume of gold transactions increased 2.7 times, to 373.1 billion rubles, amounting to 37.5 tons (25.3 tons in swap transactions and 12.2 tons in spot transactions).
The trading volume of silver amounted to 10.9 billion rubles (69.9 tons), platinum – 753 million rubles (0.2 tons), palladium – 699 million rubles (0.2 tons).
In physical terms, year-on-year, the volume of gold trading increased by 2.3 times, silver by 12.7 times, platinum by 1.6 times, and palladium by 3 times. In monetary terms, the growth in gold trading increased by 2.7 times, silver by 15.8 times, platinum by 2.2 times, and palladium by 3.2 times.
The total number of transactions in the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange in June 2026 increased 2.2 times compared to June 2025, reaching 303 thousand.
The share of private investors in gold trading in June 2026 was 1.7%, silver – 41.2%, platinum – 24.3%, palladium – 30.0%.
The number of private investors making transactions in the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange increased by 37% in June compared to last year’s figure and amounted to 34.3 thousand.
On the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange, investors have access to trades in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium backed by physical metal held in storage. Trading and settlements are conducted in rubles with the involvement of a central counterparty, the functions of which are performed by the National Clearing Center, allowing participants to benefit from all the advantages of a modern risk management system and reliable settlements. Delivery of precious metals is carried out in unallocated form to the metal accounts of clearing participants.
