Moscow, June 28 /Xinhua/ — The congress of the All-Russian political party “United Russia” is taking place at a complex and fateful time for the country, during a period of profound, systemic transformation of the entire world. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in a speech at the 18th congress of “United Russia.”
“We see that regional conflicts are multiplying, new artificial obstacles are arising for normal, mutually beneficial cooperation between states and peoples: this concerns the economy, technology, science, and even culture and sports, in general humanitarian interaction,” the Russian leader noted.
V. Putin emphasized that the country is experiencing harsh, unprecedented pressure from Western elites. According to him, “Russia confidently resists all attempts to contain our development. We have enough strength, means, and political will; there should be no doubt about this in anyone.”
The President of the Russian Federation promised that Russia will ensure the security of the country and its citizens, the inviolability of Russia’s borders in the long historical perspective, and will cope with all the challenges facing the country today, including terrorist attacks on Russian territory, and attacks on infrastructure facilities.
