Within the framework of the implementation of the 5S system and the improvement of workplace safety at JSC “Motor-Super” (an enterprise of the OAT Group, part of the “KAMAZ” structure), a project of the production system “Optimization of the production environment: organization of personal belongings storage for personnel in the workshop” was implemented.
The company “Motor-Super” continues systematic work to improve production processes. The new project is aimed at creating comfortable and safe working conditions for every employee, as well as increasing the efficiency of organizing the workspace.
The main goals of the changes are to establish a high culture of order and to ensure maximum safety in production. Thus, a transition was made to a unified system for storing tools in a special toolbox. This allows standardizing the placement of work inventory and minimizing the time spent searching for it. Moreover, a special KLT container is introduced for storing employees’ personal items, and workstations will be additionally equipped with bottle holders. Such measures eliminate the risks of accidental damage to personal belongings and reduce the likelihood of production injuries.
When introducing innovations, problems of overcrowding and inefficient organization of workplaces, lack of spare keys, and risks in the matter of material responsibility are resolved.
The implementation of new injury standards is not only about compliance with norms, but also about caring for people. An organized workspace helps reduce fatigue, increase concentration, and, as a result, boost labor productivity.
