Washington, April 6 /Xin Hua/ — Pakistan’s proposal for a ceasefire is “one of many ideas” considered by U.S. President Donald Trump, and he “has not signed it.” This was reported on Monday by the CBS News channel with reference to a White House representative.
“Operation ‘Epic Fury’ continues,” the official said, noting that D. Trump’s speech on the war topic is scheduled for 13:00 local time / 17:00 GMT.
The framework proposed by Pakistan envisages a two-step process starting with an immediate ceasefire, followed by the conclusion of a comprehensive agreement within 15-20 days. A senior Iranian representative expressed Tehran’s disagreement with the establishment of deadlines for the proposal’s consideration, and also noted that Washington is not ready to guarantee the stability of the ceasefire regime. –0–
