The delegation of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science visited the State University of Management (GUU)

On April 6, the State University of Management was visited by a delegation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Employees of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, headed by the department head Roberto Fedorov and accompanied by the Vice-Rector of GUU Maria Karelin, visited the university’s research laboratories and familiarized themselves with the ongoing projects.

Head of the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations Evgeny Smirnov presented research in the field of cross-border trade and transport and logistics systems and drew attention to the significant experience of EEU cooperation in the Eurasian space, including within the framework of the Eurasian Network University.

“Modern graduates need combined knowledge, a sought-after specialist cannot be only an economist or only a logistician, he must understand every field and their totality. And we at GUU are ready to work on training professionals of a new type, responding to market demands,” the professor concluded.

Head of the Laboratory of Digital and Intellectual Technologies for the Development of Territories of the Russian Federation Denis Serdechny acquainted the guests with a major scientific project on food security, including the development of an IT platform for agribusiness.

The director of the Center for Engineering Project Management at Vladimir Filatov University spoke about the Student Design Bureau of GUU “Innovative Solutions” and about implemented projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, reengineering, new technologies, etc. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science were interested in the possibilities of creating domestic analogues of foreign components.

Guests also visited the Laboratory of Unmanned Aviation Systems at PISH “Rosgeoteh”, where they familiarized themselves with the projects “ABRIS”, “Geomap” and the project on role management of drone swarms, as well as the SCPU Laboratory, where they learned about the training process for CNC machine operators and the importance of working on a simulator before transitioning to real production control.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the GUU and the Ministry of Education and Science discussed the concept of the Center for Global Cooperation on the development of cross-border trade and transport systems in Eurasia, proposed to be created based on our university, and the possibilities for interaction on individual projects.
