Tehran, April 6 /Xinhua/ — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced on Monday that they struck a container ship belonging to Israel and an American landing ship.
In a statement published on its official news portal Sepah News, the IRGC reported on the details of the 98th wave of attacks on targets in Israel and the USA, initiated earlier on Monday.
According to the FSB, the container ship identified as SDN7 was precisely hit by cruise missiles, after which it caught fire.
The statement also notes that as a result of the strike, the American amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli /LHA-7/, which carried more than 5,000 military personnel, was forced to retreat to the southern part of the Indian Ocean.
