Beijing, June 4 /Xinhua/ — The Ministry of Commerce of the PRC on Thursday opposed the US decision to impose unilateral trade restrictive measures against China under the pretext of so-called “forced labor.”
Regarding the investigation under Article 301, China’s position is consistent, an official representative of the Ministry He Yunchang stated at the latest press conference, responding to a question about the U.S. proposal to impose additional tariffs on the so-called “forced labor” economy.
China opposes all forms of unilateral restrictive measures, including a number of trade restrictions imposed against China under the pretext of “forced labor,” he said, adding that China has repeatedly expressed its firm position on this issue.
He Yundian called on the American side to move towards China and jointly support the stability of Sino-American economic and trade relations.
