New York, June 2 /Synchua/ — The bodies of several people, including the presumed attacker, were found on Monday after a series of shootings at several locations in Muscatine, Iowa. This was reported by the city police department.

According to police data, at about 12:12 local time / 17:12 GMT / its officers arrived in response to a report of a shooting at a residential building and discovered the bodies of four people with gunshot wounds.

Investigators established that the suspect is a 52-year-old man who left the house before the police arrived and was later found on the river embankment with a gunshot wound inflicted by himself. He was declared dead at the scene of the incident.

Later, in another residential building and in the office of a local company, the police discovered the bodies of two more adult men, who presumably died from gunshot wounds.

“The preliminary investigation showed that the shooting occurred due to a family conflict,” the police press release states. “At this moment, it is assumed that all the victims are members of the family of the deceased suspect.”
