Students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering became winners and prize-winners of the VIII All-Russian Internet Olympiad in the complex of graphic disciplines, which was held by the Siberian State University of Transport for first- and second-year students. The Olympiad was conducted in a remote format and united participants from dozens of higher educational institutions across the country.

The Olympiad is held with the aim of developing engineering-graphics training for students, increasing interest in modern design and modeling technologies, as well as identifying talented youth in the field of engineering and computer graphics.

Participants completed tasks in four categories: “CAD Sprinter”, “3D Master”, “Super Engineer”, and “Super Visual”. The competition tasks required students with a high level of training, proficiency in modern CAD systems, skills in engineering drawing, 2D and 3D modeling, as well as developed spatial thinking. Depending on the category, participants created geometric constructions, modeled parts and objects, analyzed engineering drawings, and solved problems related to determining the visibility of construction elements.

Students of the first year of the Faculty of Civil Engineering participated in the SPBGASU competition, who worthily represented the university and showed high results immediately in several nominations.

The performance in the nomination “Super Engineer,” dedicated to engineering graphics and 3D modeling of parts according to drawings, was especially successful.Saida Zankishievaachieved victory here with a maximum result of one hundred points, andIlya Kornakovtook third place with 94 points.

In the nomination “CAD Sprinter,” a first-year student of the same facultyAnastasia Sharaginabecame third with a score of 96 points.
