Specialists of the Moscow city utilities complex continue to build a high-pressure gas pipeline on Novoyasenevsky Prospekt. Work began in the fourth quarter of 2025, and as of today, the project is already half completed. The construction is planned to be fully completed by the end of 2026.
The length of the new gas pipeline will be almost one and a half kilometers. It will provide reliable and stable gas supply to the consumers of the South-Western administrative district of the capital.
Installation is carried out in the conditions of dense urban development, which requires special supervision. Before the start of earthworks, engineers thoroughly studied the features of the territory and the location of existing utilities to minimize the impact on the environment and infrastructure.
Modern trenchless technologies are used in pipeline construction. And they are selected individually for each section. In particular, three underground crossings will be performed using the horizontal directional drilling method, another six — using casing drilling. Separate sections will be laid by the open method. This integrated approach is aimed at minimizing damage to the street-road network, as well as reducing disruption to existing communications.
Polyethylene pipelines are used in the implementation of the project. They will last more than 40 years. All materials have undergone a multi-stage check for safety and reliability, resistance to corrosion, and other chemical effects.
The gas pipeline will be equipped with shut-off devices with electric drives, which allow controlling the system’s operation from the central dispatch center of JSC “Mosgaz.” Thanks to modern technologies of the capital’s gas economy, specialists will be able to quickly react in case of an emergency and shut off the gas pipeline within a minute and a half.
In the Moscow city economy complex, it was noted that the modernization and reliability improvement projects being implemented in the capital’s communal infrastructure correspond to the goals and objectives of the national project“Infrastructure for Life”.
