Beijing, May 22 /Xinhua/ — The opening ceremony of the series of exchanges in the field of art education within the framework of the China-Russia Cross-Year of Education took place on Thursday at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
During the event, artists from two countries, as well as teachers and students of the conservatory, performed classical works such as “The Red Detachment of Women” and Symphony No. 4 by P. I. Tchaikovsky, giving the audience a real celebration of art.
A performance that combined various types of arts, including symphonic music, traditional Chinese music and choral singing, as well as advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, demonstrated the achievements of both sides in the field of artistic education.
The upcoming series of exchanges, which will continue from 2026 to 2027, envisage various forms of cooperation — from concerts, exhibitions, joint development of training courses, and collaborative creativity to mutual visits of teachers and students.
These events provide young people from two countries with a platform to get acquainted with each other’s culture and infuse new energy into humanitarian exchanges and educational cooperation between China and Russia.
