Beijing, May 22 /Xin Hua/ — China firmly opposes the deployment of medium-range missile systems in Asian countries by the United States, stated the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Go Zyakun, on Friday, calling on the USA and Japan to correct their mistaken methods.
A Chinese diplomat made this statement at another departmental press conference. According to media reports, American military personnel plan to deploy their medium-range missile system “Typhoon” in Japan from June to September for conducting joint military exercises. After the exercises, the system will be relocated to a U.S. military base in Japan. -0-
