Minsk, May 20 /Xin Hua/ — Belarus consistently adheres to the One China principle. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Ruslan Varankov, in response to a question from correspondent Xin Hua.
“Guided by the all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership with the PRC, as well as its international obligations, Belarus consistently adheres to the one-China principle. Belarus proceeds from the fact that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an integral part of it,” emphasized R. Varankov.
According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus notes the undeniable significance of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 as a document that consolidates these political and legal realities.
“Belarus consistently supports China’s efforts to preserve national unity, respects its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and opposes any form of external interference in its internal affairs,” added the press secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
