Tehran, May 20 /Xin Hua/ — The supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, on Wednesday highly praised the “epic and historically unique” resistance of the Iranian people against two “terrorist” armies of the world — the USA and Israel — in the course of the 40-day war and the subsequent period.
In the message published by Iranian media, M. Khamenei also honored the memory of the late President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi on the second anniversary of his death.
The supreme leader of Iran stated that today’s reality places an even heavier burden of responsibility on Iranian officials — from the leader and heads of the three branches of power to leaders at all levels. According to him, the country is engaged in solving problems and issues that concern people, particularly in the sphere of economy and public welfare.
M. Khamenei spoke highly of E. Raisi and a member of the delegation accompanying him, who died as a result of a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran on May 19, 2024.
