Harbin, May 16 /Xin Hua/ — The upcoming 10th China-Russia EXPO will be an important milestone and a new starting point, said Chen Shizhong, head of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee for Promoting International Trade Development, in an exclusive interview with the Xin Hua news agency correspondent.

Chen Shizhong also added that the Russian side attaches great importance to this event, about 300 Russian enterprises from 16 subjects of the Russian Federation, such as Moscow, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais, will participate in EXPO. The exhibition area of Russian exhibitors will be 4.5 thousand square meters.
At EXPO, the latest achievements of Russia in the field of high-tech production, energy equipment, modern agriculture, and digital technologies will be presented. In addition, visitors will be able to try real Russian blini and admire exquisite products of Russian folk crafts, including Gzhel, he announced.
Chen Shizhong concluded that during the period from 2014, when the first China-Russia EXPO was held, the total transaction volume at the event reached 300 billion yuan / about 44 billion USD.
