Tehran, April 3 /Xinhua/ — The governor of Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province on Friday called on residents of tribal and rural districts to assist the authorities in identifying “enemy pilots.”

“Residents of the province, especially in the tribal areas, are doing everything possible to find these pilots,” said Y. Rahman. “If enemy forces are detected, the priority is their capture and life.”

He added that security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the army are closely monitoring the situation. Ya. Raman also reported that individuals who manage to capture or neutralize enemy forces will receive an official “reward” from the provincial authorities.

Earlier on Friday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps stated that its air defense systems shot down an American F-35 fighter jet in the central part of Iran, adding that the fate of the pilot remains unknown.
