China Launches Global Educational Services Platform in AI

Hanchzhou, May 13 /Xinhua/ — China on Tuesday announced the launch of a global platform for educational services in the field of artificial intelligence /AI/ during the World Conference on Digital Education 2026 in Hanchzhou (province of Zhejiang, East China), with the aim of promoting cross-border joint use of high-quality educational resources and further deepening the integration of intelligent technologies with education.

The launch of the new platform takes place within the framework of a broader modernization of the Chinese public service platform in the field of intellectual education, known as Smart Education of China /”Smart Education in China”/, which is available to users in 220 countries and regions around the world. The updated version of the platform has been supplemented by three new sites with international services and new functions, including a global educational services platform in the field of AI, a center for continuous learning, and a community for studying the Chinese language “I love Chinese language,” access to which is open on a global scale.

At the aforementioned conference, held from May 11 to 13, the “Report on the Development of Intellectual Education in China /2025-2026/” was also released, dedicated to the transformation, development, and management in the field of education in the era of intellectual technologies.

At the event, the “Hangzhou Initiative” on the use of AI in the field of education was also presented, aimed at the worldwide use of the advantages of AI technology in the interest of comprehensive and sustainable human development. It is also aimed at the maximum identification and utilization of the potential of the intellectual education platform for the joint use of quality resources and intellectual tools in order to overcome the global digital divide.
