Tehran, May 6 /Xin Hua/ — Iran continues to study the proposal of the United States and, upon completion of the assessment, will send its response through Pakistan. This was reported on Wednesday by the Iranian Students’ News Agency /ISNA/ citing the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmail Baghaei.
According to E. Bagai, Iran is currently formulating its position on the American proposal in a generalized manner before notifying the Pakistani side, which acts as an intermediary in the negotiations.
On the same day, the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran stated that they expect a “safe and stable” passage through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with new procedures following the cessation of “threats from aggressors.”
The IMSS KSE thanked the captains of ships and shipowners in the Persian and Oman Gulfs on the social network X for complying with Iranian transit rules along this strategically important waterway. It was emphasized that this cooperation contributed to ensuring maritime security in the region.
“After neutralizing threats from aggressors and introducing new protocols, safe and stable passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be ensured,” added the CSS Navy. –0–
