Tbilisi, May 5 /Xin Hua/ — Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said on Tuesday that by 2030 the country will complete the construction of the most important sections of the high-speed highways.
Speaking at the presentation of the project to update the Georgian railway, I. Kobaidze also announced the project to expand Kutaisi International Airport and the plan to build a new airport in Tbilisi by 2031, designed for 18 million passengers per year.
The head of the Georgian government particularly emphasized the significance of the Anaklia port project as key for the development of the country’s transit potential.
Moreover, according to him, about 1.7 billion US dollars will be invested in the development of the Georgian railway over the next 10 years. –0–
