Washington, May 3 /Xin Hua/ — President of the United States Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States will begin withdrawing its ships from the Strait of Hormuz on Monday morning, according to Middle Eastern time.

Naming the operation “Project Freedom,” D. Trump said that it is a “humanitarian gesture.”

“Countries from all over the world, almost all of which are not involved in the Middle Eastern conflict unfolding in front of everyone’s eyes so clearly and harshly, have turned to the United States with a request to help free their ships blocked in the Hormuz Strait due to events to which they have absolutely no relation—they are merely neutral and should not be involved in any way as bystanders!” wrote D. Trump on the social network Truth Social.

“For the benefit of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we told these countries that we would safely remove them and their vessels from these waters closed to navigation, so that they could freely and unimpededly conduct their business,” he said, adding that many of these ships have supplies of food and everything else necessary to ensure healthy and hygienic living conditions for the numerous crews on board.

D. Trump warned that if “this humanitarian process is subjected to interference, then, unfortunately, such interference will have to be responded to with the use of force.” –0–
