Cairo, April 28 /Xinhua/ — Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelaty held separate telephone conversations late Monday evening with his colleagues from Oman, Jordan, the United Kingdom, and Germany to discuss recent regional events, especially the American-Iranian negotiation process, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Tuesday.
Ministers exchanged views on rapidly developing regional events and emphasized the necessity of activating support for American-Iranian negotiations and efforts toward political settlement aimed at preventing war, says the ministry’s statement.
They agreed to continue striving for mutual understanding between the interested parties to strengthen the ceasefire regime, end the war, and reduce tensions in the region.
The ministers also agreed to continue coordination and consultation, emphasizing that diplomatic solutions remain the best option for ensuring security and stability in the region and worldwide. –0–
