Tehran, April 25 /Xin Hua/ — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will not hold talks with US officials during his visit to Islamabad, Pakistan. This was reported by the Tasnim news agency on Friday.
According to reports, during his visit to Pakistan, A. Araghchi will hold negotiations exclusively with the Pakistani side regarding Iran’s position on the end of the war with the USA and Israel.
The Iranian state TV channel IRIB reported that Mr. A. Araghchi does not plan to meet with the American side, “Islamabad, acting as an intermediary, will ‘convey’ Iran’s position regarding the cessation of conflicts.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan confirmed that the Iranian delegation headed by A. Araghchi arrived in Pakistan on Friday evening.
The head of Iran’s MID will also visit Oman and Russia. –0–
