The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation announces the start of applications for the XI All-Russian competition of scientific research works by students and graduate students. The application deadline is extended until May 15, 2026. The competition takes place within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. Among the key objectives are the public presentation of advanced scientific works by young researchers to the broad scientific community, facilitating the implementation of ideas by talented youth into real projects, and the development of a career development ecosystem in the academic environment.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia pays special attention to supporting young researchers, developing and expanding professional connections and competencies. Over ten years, about 30,000 students and postgraduate students have become participants in the competition, and the geography continues to expand. Last year, representatives of 438 universities and scientific organizations took part, including students from 20 countries around the world. It is expected that this year the competition will become even more massive.

Students and postgraduates of Russian educational institutions of higher education and/or scientific organizations of any form of education up to the age of 35 are invited to participate in the competition. Written works are accepted for the competition, including fundamental, applied, and exploratory research in 10 scientific fields:
- Agro-, bio-, and food technologies;
- humanities;
- Engineering sciences;
- Information technologies and mathematics;
- science about life and medicine;
- science about the Earth, ecology, and rational nature management;
- science about matter
- social sciences;
- Physics and astronomy;
- Chemistry and chemical technologies.
Contest entries will be sent for independent expert evaluation conducted by leading scientists, including mega-grant scientists. Based on the results, participants of the final in-person stage will be determined, which will take place in September at the venue of the XI All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum “Science of the Future — Science of the Young.” Students and postgraduate students are invited to participate, and we wish them success in implementing ambitious scientific projects.
