From April 21 to June 12, 2026, an All-Russian online voting will take place in Russia for improvement projects. The event is organized within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” Residents of the country determine which public areas will be improved within the national project in 2027, and can also choose design projects for spaces already selected.

“About 1 million votes were received during the first day of the All-Russian voting. This clearly demonstrates that the feedback mechanism on issues of improvement is in demand. The most active voters were residents of the Chechen Republic with over 94.2 thousand votes, the Republic of Bashkortostan with more than 75 thousand, and the Sverdlovsk region with about 6.9 thousand. Over the years of conducting the voting in the country, approximately 8.5 thousand territories selected by citizens have already been improved. Residents participate directly in making decisions about how cities and settlements should change.”Thanks to voting, the necessary flexibility in landscaping is achieved – typical, standardized solutions are aligned with current public needs and the residents’ desire to preserve the unique identity of their city, settlement, or village,

88 subjects of the Russian Federation participate in the voting. For the fourth time in the procedure, residents of the reunited regions took part – last year the projects gained nearly 131 thousand votes. The selection is conducted in settlements with a population of over 20 thousand people, as well as in key settlements.

“The All-Russian voting on improvement projects has become an effective tool uniting the volunteer movement, municipal management teams, development institutes, federal and regional executive authorities, and active and concerned residents. Over the years of its implementation, 68 million votes have been collected. And if in 2025 there were 16.6 million votes recorded, then today’s dynamics indicate that this tool is only revealing its potential.”The growth of civic activity confirms the high popularity and demand for the federal project “Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment,” which in 2025, by decision of the President of the country, was extended as part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” More than 5,500 territories have already been landscaped within its framework, and 252 projects have been completed — winners of the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment,” said the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Irek Faizullin:

The territories and design projects selected as a result of the voting will form the basis of municipal improvement programs. Financing will be provided through federal, regional budgets and extra-budgetary sources. Accessibility to voting is ensured by volunteers: in 2025, almost 170 thousand volunteers helped 60% of participants to vote. If there were just over 11 thousand volunteers in 2021, now there are already hundreds of thousands of people across the country who care about their environment.

Citizens over the age of 14 can participate. You can make a choice independently on the platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru, through the application “Gosuslugi. Deciding Together” or with the help of volunteers based on the “Dobro.RF” ecosystem.
