The State Transport Leasing Company continues to update the public transport fleet in the regions of the Russian Federation. Forty new domestically produced buses have been delivered to eight regions of the country. The equipment was purchased under preferential leasing terms through programs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the national project “Infrastructure for Life” (Ministry of Transport line). This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Updating public transportation is one of the priority tasks outlined by the President. A modern fleet directly affects the comfort and safety of passengers. Another 40 new vehicles have been sent to eight regions. Preferential leasing under the programs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’ makes renewal accessible for the regions and allows them to systematically develop transport infrastructure. This work must continue so that quality transport is available to as many citizens as possible,” said Marat Khusnullin.
Thus, 22 buses were transferred to the Moscow region within the framework of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s program: 12 vehicles of the “GAZ” brand and 10 “KAvZ”. Seven “SimAZ” buses were delivered to the Chelyabinsk region under the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” Three “NEFAZ” buses were sent to the Lipetsk region under the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s program. Three “LiAZ” buses were transferred to the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Two “PAZ” buses arrived in the Perm Territory. Ivanovo and Vologda regions each received one “PAZ” bus, and the Kaluga region received one “NEFAZ” bus. All these deliveries were also made within the framework of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s program.
Overall, among the programs used by regions to purchase new public transport are direct subsidies from the federal budget and subsidized preferential leasing through JSC “GTLK” under the Ministry of Transport, leasing of wheeled vehicles through GTLK under the Ministry of Industry and Trade program, the infrastructure loan mechanism of the Ministry of Construction, operated by the Territorial Development Fund, as well as the write-off of two-thirds of the debt on budget loans under the Ministry of Finance.
