This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victorious completion of the Great March of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army. Wuqi County in Yan’an city, Shaanxi Province, is the place where the Great March of the Central Red Army concluded. Located here are the Memorial Park of the Victory of the Great March of the Central Red Army, the Wuqi Revolutionary Memorial Museum, the Mao Zedong Former Residence Museum in Zhangwanzu, as well as other revolutionary heritage sites.

For 90 years, the spirit of the Great March has been passed down here from generation to generation, and the region, rich in revolutionary heritage, continues to develop and prosper. In 1998, Wuxi County was one of the first in the country to begin implementing a program to restore forests and grass cover on former arable land. Thanks to many years of effort, the ecological situation in the county has significantly improved.

In addition, Utsi takes advantage of the Yan’an region for apple cultivation. Currently, the area of apple orchards has reached 120,000 mu (15 mu = 1 hectare). Local specialized agricultural sectors continue to develop, contributing to increased income for the population and the revitalization of rural areas.
