Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotenko.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko. The parties discussed key directions of the region’s socio-economic development, including issues related to the development of the agro-industrial complex, rural areas, as well as the implementation of the national project “Ecological Well-being”.
Omsk region demonstrates stable performance in key sectors of the agro-industrial complex. The harvesting campaign is currently coming to an end, with grain crops collected totaling around 2.7 million tons, and oilseeds – 440 thousand tons, which is twice the figure of last year. Winter sowing has been completed exceeding the plan. The agricultural producers of the Omsk region are provided with the necessary material and technical resources.
Dmitry Patrushev and Vitaly Khotsenko also addressed the issue of implementing the state program “Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas.” The program covers a wide range of areas—from the construction of social infrastructure and modernization of utilities networks to measures aimed at attracting young specialists to work in rural areas. For example, more than 10 utility facilities have been built and modernized in various districts of the region, and cultural centers have been renovated in the villages of Kulikovo and Turgenevka in the Kalachinsky district. In addition, about 3,400 families in the region received new comfortable housing on preferential terms. Since the beginning of the implementation of the state program “CDRA,” its measures have affected more than 60,000 rural residents of the region.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to environmental issues and the implementation of the national project “Ecological Well-being.” In the Omsk region, work continues to reduce the negative impact on the environment, modernize the waste management system, restore water bodies, and preserve forests. The projects being implemented in the region are aimed at achieving the target indicators of the national project and improving the environmental situation for the region’s residents.
The parties also discussed the formation of an organizing committee for the preparation and celebration of the 400th anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s development of the Omsk Priirtyshye, which will be commemorated in 2028. The decree establishing this significant date for the region was signed this year by President Vladimir Putin. The Chairman of the organizing committee has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. The celebration program will include a wide range of social, economic, infrastructure, and cultural events intended to emphasize the historical significance of the region and give impetus to its further development.
