Moscow Exchange recorded a record trading volume during the additional weekend session (AWS) in the stock market on October 10–11, 2026 – 92.8 billion rubles. This is more than 3.7 times the average trading volume for AWS in the stock market since the start of 2026.

The previous peak in the stock market’s DSVP was 68.8 billion rubles, recorded over the weekend of February 28 – March 1, 2026.

The trading volume of stocks and mutual fund shares on October 10–11, 2026 amounted to 87.9 billion rubles, and bonds – 4.9 billion rubles.

165 thousand private investors made transactions on the stock market on October 10 and 11. This is 37.5% more than the average on the DSVD since the beginning of 2026.

Trading volume on weekends in the derivatives market was also at levels close to historical highs. The total volume of futures and options transactions amounted to 143 billion rubles, nearly three times higher than the average weekend trading volume in 2026 on the derivatives market. More than 34 thousand unique clients made derivative trades last Saturday and Sunday, 1.5 times higher than the average for the same period this year.

Thus, trading on weekends once again proved its demand in the context of a rapidly changing news background: in the stock market, it is an opportunity to promptly rebalance a securities portfolio; in the derivatives market, it is an opportunity for hedging and participating in price movements of various, including global, assets.

Trading on the stock and derivatives markets of the Moscow Exchange takes place on Saturdays and/or Sundays from 09:50 to 19:00 Moscow time, and may also be conducted on other non-settlement weekend days. Over the first 9 months of 2026, the average trading volume on weekends in the stock market amounted to 25 billion rubles, which is 25% higher than the entire 2025 year. On the derivatives market, it was 26.7 billion rubles, twice as much as in 2025.

Moscow Exchange consistently expands opportunities for investors trading on weekends. In March 2026, all bonds became available for weekend trading. Investors can trade 322 stocks and mutual fund shares, as well as more than 3,200 bonds on weekends. In June 2025, Moscow Exchange began calculating the MOEX Index on weekends. In April 2026, all bond indexes started to be calculated during all additional trading sessions, including weekends, and in September 2026 – all stock indexes. Since July 2026, currency futures have been available for trading on weekends in the derivatives market.
