The State University of Management showed high results in the final of the VI International Olympiad on Financial Security. The prize winners in the category “Economics” were second-year students of the “Financial Management” educational program, Angelina Semenova and Yaroslav Fefelov.
The students shared their emotions: “Becoming a prize-winner of the VI International Olympiad on Financial Security is a great pride and a powerful incentive to move forward. The Olympiad offered a unique combination of professional experience and an incredibly warm gaming atmosphere,” noted Angelina.
She was supported by Yaroslav: “Emotions are just overwhelming – I am a prize winner of the VI Olympiad on financial security! The scale of the event is incredible, a sea of participants from 45 countries. But the most valuable thing is that I learned a lot of new things about the real mechanisms of financial security and data protection. I am returning with a wealth of invaluable experience!”
As part of the business program of the Olympiad, master classes were held, sessions of the Presidium of the International Movement for Financial Security, the International Forum on Financial Security, and the MSI in the field of AML/CFT (anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing) took place, in which the rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroeve, professors and scientists of the State University of Management, as well as students and attendees of the Pre-University program participated.
At the olympiad venues, Vladimir Stroyev reminded that issues of financial security concern everyone today. This includes protection against fraud, responsible attitude towards financial decisions, ability to navigate the digital environment, and, of course, understanding that financial crimes harm the entire society and state.
Employees of the State University of Management told the participants about the application of artificial intelligence, behavioral economics, the development of the international financial security movement, as well as the prospects of studying at the State University of Management and careers in the AML/CFT field.
Congratulations to Angelina Semenova and Yaroslav Fefelov on their high achievements, and we wish them new victories and further development in the field of financial security!
The International Olympiad on Financial Security is held with the support of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and aims to popularize financial security as a norm of life, as well as to develop a new type of thinking among young people: from individual financial security to the financial security of the state.
In 2026, the 6th International Olympiad on Financial Security was held in Krasnoyarsk. More than 700 students and schoolchildren from 45 countries around the world participated. GUU was represented by 4 students from the programs World Economy, Economics and Financial Management, and one student from the GUU Pre-University School.
The State University of Management is part of the International Network Institute in the field of AML/CFT and regularly participates in related events. In addition, our experts take part in the development of the Concept of Financial Security of the Russian Federation.
