About 3.5 billion rubles will be additionally allocated from the Cabinet’s reserve fund for measures to modernize the distribution electrical grids in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. This order was signed by the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin.
Commentary
With the help of the federal subsidy, work will be provided to restore power lines for dozens of social facilities and homes where thousands of people live. In addition, these funds will finance the purchase of specialized construction and repair equipment, tools, special clothing, and personal protective equipment.
Events for the restoration of distribution power grids are being conducted within the framework of the program for the restoration and socio-economic development of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Zaporizhzhia region, and the Kherson region, which was approved by the Government in April 2023.
Speaking about the decision made at the Government meeting on April 16, Mikhail Mishustin asked colleagues to pay special attention to the prompt delivery of these funds to the executors in order to complete the planned activities by the end of the current year.
