Bishkek, April 15 /Xin Hua/ — The gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan in January-March of the current year, according to a preliminary assessment, amounted to 428.6 billion soms (about 4.9 billion US dollars) and increased by 10.1 percent compared to January-March 2025. This was reported on Wednesday by the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, the share of the services sector in the total volume of GDP amounted to 50.4%, the share of the manufacturing industries was 33.2%, and the share of net taxes on products was 16.4%.
An increase in volumes was observed in construction by 29.6%, wholesale and retail trade by 12.1%, agriculture, forestry, and fishing by 2.8%, the hotel and restaurant services sector by 12.9%. The volume of industrial production increased by 14%.
As noted, in January-March of the current year compared to December of the previous year, the increase in consumer prices throughout the republic amounted to 3.3%.
The volume of Kyrgyzstan’s external and mutual trade in goods in January-February 2026 amounted to 2.1 billion US dollars and compared to January-February 2025 decreased by 2.9%. At the same time, exports decreased by 12.5%, and imports by 1.1%.
