Tehran, April 15 /Xin Hua/ — The commander of the Armed Forces of Iran’s Central Command “Khatam-al-Anbiya”, Ali Abdollahi, warned on Wednesday that Iran will block imports and exports in the Persian and Oman Gulf, as well as in the Red Sea, if the USA continues the maritime blockade aimed at Iran. This was reported by the Iranian semi-official news agency Fars.

A. Abdollahi condemned the actions of the United States in blocking the Strait of Hormuz to prevent the passage of ships heading to Iranian ports and from them.

According to him, if the US “attempts to continue its illegal actions regarding the imposition of a naval blockade in the region and the creation of a security threat for Iranian merchant ships and oil tankers, these actions will become a prelude to the violation of the ceasefire regime, and the powerful armed forces of Iran will not allow any export or import in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and the Red Sea to continue.”

A. Abdollahi added that Iran will take decisive measures to protect its state sovereignty and national interests. –0–
