In the center of the capital, the improvement of Krasnaya Presnya Park continues. Specialists are updating the infrastructure and areas for recreation and sports activities, preserving the historical features of this place. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement. Pyotr Biryukov.
“This year, we are carrying out the improvement of the “Krasnaya Presnya” park, which has remained a significant attraction point for local residents for many years. The implementation of the project will help preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the park, while adding modernity and functionality to the area,” noted Petr Biryukov.
Specialists are repairing the walkways and modernizing the engineering communications. Trenches have been prepared for laying pipes and installing cable wells. The overhead lines will be moved underground to protect the networks from external impact.
Special attention is paid to restoring the historical appearance of the preserved pond-canals. One of them was previously filled in due to flooding of the Studenets manor building. Specialists removed the silt deposits, built a new retaining wall in the problematic area, and are now reinforcing the banks. The filled-in canal will be restored, after which a complex of floating fountains with architectural and artistic lighting will appear on the water bodies. In addition, places for relaxation and yoga practice will be equipped.
The existing arched bridges in the park will also be repaired, and new ones will be built to make it easier for visitors to move around the area.
In addition, a pavilion-stage will be installed, padel courts and changing rooms will be equipped, and a boat rental point will be opened, where various events can be held. The workout area, children’s playgrounds, and skatepark will be tidied up. The renewal of the mini-football field will begin shortly.
A new administrative and utility complex will replace the existing one. The building will house work offices, a utility block, and a canopy for equipment.
