On September 10, the State Budgetary Institution (“GBU”)Small Business of Moscow» (MBM) will hold a conference for entrepreneurs “Digital Financial Assets and the Digital Ruble: Opportunities and Prospects for SMEs.” It will take place from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Moscow Government situational center at Voznesensky Lane, building 22. Participation is free, by pre-registration on the MBM portal.
At the conference, entrepreneurs will be told how to attract investments using digital financial assets (DFA), prepare for their issuance, and use the digital ruble in settlements. The business program will consist of four thematic sessions. Representatives of the Bank of Russia, credit organizations, and the fintech industry will speak to the participants. They will be joined by specialists from digital asset platforms, rating agencies, relevant associations and funds, as well as companies that are already using digital tools in practice.
First, experts will explain the differences between DVA, the digital ruble, and cryptocurrency. The discussion will also cover the legal regulation of these instruments. Additionally, participants will be introduced to the main types of digital assets, the requirements for issuing companies, and the stages of preparation for issuing DVAs.
A separate session will be devoted to the digital ruble. The speakers will talk about its operating principles, available transactions, and the advantages of the new payment instrument for businesses. In particular, the discussion will focus on the possible reduction of acquiring costs.
The practical part of the program will be dedicated to the issuance of digital financial assets (DFA) and attracting investments. Entrepreneurs will learn how to choose a digital platform operator, on what principles digital assets are rated, and what institutional investors pay attention to. Experts will also analyze successful examples of DFA issuance by small and medium-sized businesses, including in the social and environmental sectors.
The State Budgetary Institution “Small Business of Moscow”, subordinate to the capital Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, helps people start and develop their own business in the city.
