In the Southern Administrative District of the capital, in the Moskvorechye-Saburovo area, the construction of an educational complex for three thousand places is underway. It will house a school for 2,500 students and a kindergarten for 500 pupils. This was reported by Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction.
The complex will be constructed at the following addresses: 1st Kotlyakovsky Lane, land plot No. 1/10 and 2nd Kotlyakovsky Lane, land plot No. 1/10.
“In Moskvoriechiye-Saburovo, construction is underway for one of the largest educational complexes in the capital. The total area of the building will exceed 58,000 square meters. The project is being built as part of a large-scale investment initiative. Its current construction readiness stands at 15 percent. Excavation work has been completed in all five buildings; in two of them, the monolithic structure is complete up to the third floor, in one up to the second floor, and in the kindergarten building — up to the level of minus the first floor. In 2027, facade and finishing works, as well as landscaping, will begin. Completion of the construction under the participation agreement is planned for 2028, after which the developer will hand over the facility to the Moscow city education system,” noted Vladimir Efimov.
According to the architectural design, an “educational city” will appear in the south of the capital, which will consist of five buildings ranging from three to four stories high. They will be connected by above-ground passages with bright galleries, offering views of the landscaped area.
“The functional zoning of the complex’s space is organized so that each educational level has its own block: kindergarten, elementary school, middle and high school, a sports core, and a multifunctional multi-light space. The latter will become the heart of the entire complex during common celebrations, concerts, and gatherings. The sports block building includes three large sports halls. The interior space of the kindergarten groups and school classrooms is designed to be flexible and adapt to different tasks — from studying to teamwork. With the help of sliding partitions, modular furniture, and functional windowsills, the rooms can be easily zoned,” said the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Urban Planning Policy.
In addition to classrooms, the school was designed with a hall for choreography classes, computer science, cooking and home economics rooms, laboratory-research complexes, a creative studio, as well as combined workshops for metal and wood processing.
The facades of the educational center are formed from concise volumes with soft plasticity and a calm rhythm of window openings. Warm and natural colors were chosen for their decoration, with terracotta used as an accent. The transitions between the buildings in copper tones will unite the complex into a single composition.
The adjacent area includes zones for quiet games and active activities. Walking alleys and a large amphitheater will be equipped here. In addition, a sports core with a multifunctional stadium, running tracks, and fields for football, volleyball, and tennis will be created on the territory.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin said that a new one has been built on Sokolovo-Meshcherskaya Street academic building school No. 2005.
