Carsharing, taxi, and sharing services (rental of bicycles and electric scooters) continue to develop in the capital.
In the first half of 2026, the total taxi passenger traffic amounted to 283.3 million people, with a decrease in the number of short trips, while the number of long trips, on the contrary, increased. The average trip distance increased by 1.4 percent — from 14 to 14.2 kilometers, which corresponds to Moscow’s transportation development strategy.

Today, the largest car rental fleet in the world has been formed in Moscow — nearly 42 thousand vehicles. The average age of the cars is 1.9 years. In the six months of 2026, users made over 29.2 million trips on electric scooters — 25 percent more compared to the same period last year. More than three million users completed verification through mos.ru.
Citizens have made more than 2.6 million trips on the urban bike-sharing service “Velobike” — this is 81 percent more compared to the first half of last year. Today, 285 thousand people are registered in the system, which is 39 percent higher than the same figures from last year. In the 2026 season, 116 thousand users were added, which is seven percent higher compared to the same period of the previous season.
