Specialists urban economy complex the asphalt pavement was repaired on Zagorodnoye Highway in the south of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Special attention is paid to maintaining the city’s roads in good condition. Every year, as part of preparations for the autumn-winter period, we carry out measures to renew the asphalt concrete pavement. This year, we repaired Zagorodnoye Highway located in the Donskoy district; it connects Malaya Tulskaya and Bolshaya Cheremyshkinskaya streets,” noted Petr Biryukov.
During the repair work, 35 thousand square meters of road surface were replaced, and then markings were applied.
One of the key reasons for carrying out the repairs was rutting. It arises due to the high intensity of automobile traffic, causes inconvenience for drivers, and can reduce the level of safety on the roads. To prevent worsening of the situation, specialists regularly assess the condition of the road surface, monitor warranty periods, and promptly carry out replacements.
The repair process is organized in stages. First, the old coating is milled. Then specialists repair the inspection manholes and storm drain grates. The next step is laying the new asphalt. The final stage is applying the road markings.
Modern technologies are used when laying asphalt on the street and road network, and asphalt concrete mixtures are supplied from city plants.
