Starting from September 2, the State Darwin Museum in Moscow will reopen its doors for nature, travel, and photography enthusiasts. The XII Wildlife Photography Festival “Wild Underwater World” will open here — the largest photo project in Russia dedicated to life underwater.
Every frame at the exhibition is not just a photograph. It is a window into another world, where amazing creatures live, light penetrates through the water, and breath is held not only by the diver but also by the viewer.
On festival Works from authors from various parts of Russia, as well as from countries near and far abroad, were submitted. The jury selected the 100 best photographs taken in the seas and oceans, lakes, and rivers of our planet.
This year, a significant part of the exhibition is dedicated to macrophotography, where each shot is a key to the secrets of nature. Almost every third work reveals the amazing and whimsical underwater microcosm, filled with incredible shapes and colors. These images allow viewers not just to see, but to feel themselves as part of this mysterious realm, where every detail comes to life under the lens of the master.
After being shown in Moscow, the exhibition will traditionally embark on a long journey — the exhibition will take place in museums and cultural centers in other cities of Russia.
