Artificial intelligence helps users of Alexandra chatbot daily. Since 2025, neural networks have processed over a million passenger queries. Most often, the virtual assistant is asked about transport complex applications and websites, tariffs and parking payment methods, and users are also interested in facts about Moscow transport. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for transport and industry issues. Maxim Liksutov.

“Starting from 2025, our unique chatbot Alexandra operates using artificial intelligence, which allows her to answer a greater number of questions of varying complexity. During this time, neural networks have already processed over one million passenger questions. Alexandra has become the country’s first transport assistant based on two large language models. Thanks to the rating assessment system, users receive the most suitable and accurate answer to their question. By the end of this year, 80 percent of the chatbot’s knowledge base will be connected to artificial intelligence in accordance with the transport development strategy until 2030, approved by Sergey Sobyanin,” said Maksim Liksutov.

How artificial intelligence helps the chatbot

After the user’s request, neural networks simultaneously analyze the chatbot’s knowledge base. They either find a ready-made answer or form a new one from available fragments. Then the system compares the obtained options by accuracy, meaning, and relevance, and the most suitable answer is given to the user.

Artificial intelligence helps the virtual assistant better understand the essence of the request, even if it is formulated in an unusual way. Several neural networks can combine information from different parts of the knowledge base into a single message. At the same time, the chatbot retains the context of the conversation and takes previous requests into account.

It takes Alexandra less than two seconds to prepare a response. If the question requires a specialist’s involvement, the message will be forwarded to the appropriate employee.

Neural networks also help the chatbot Alexandra tell interesting facts about Moscow transport and answer questions about the metro, Moscow Central Circle, Moscow Central Diameters, in ground and regular river transport, trams, suburban electric trains, aeroexpress, taxis, car sharing, and individual mobility devices.

In addition, the virtual assistant advises users on issues related to bus stations and highways, employment in the transport sector, rules for using public transport, advertising, navigation, passenger services, parking, and vehicle towing.

Alexander’s chatbot also supports conversations on topics unrelated to transportation. For example, the virtual assistant can talk about its favorite books, hobbies, and dreams. You can ask Alexander a question on any a convenient platform — in apps, on websites, or on social media.
