Moscow, April 9 /TASS/ — The development of the missile and space complex and the strengthening of its potential are among Russia’s priorities. This was pointed out by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in his greeting to the participants and organizers of the first Russian space forum, the text of which was published on Thursday on the Kremlin website.

“Today, the development of the missile and space complex, strengthening its scientific, personnel, and technological potential is among our unquestionable priorities. I emphasize that in order to move forward, to maintain leading positions in the field of space exploration, it is exceptionally important to unite efforts of the state, business, and research teams in this strategic direction to jointly solve large-scale and timely tasks to improve the production base and ground infrastructure of the industry.””Expand the satellite constellation, widely implement new materials, digital and nuclear technologies,” noted the Russian leader.

V. Putin emphasized that the innovative development of the country, the improvement of people’s living standards and quality of life, and ensuring defense capability, security, and the sovereignty of the state depend on the effective implementation of space programs.

The first Russian space forum took place on Thursday at the National Center “Russia” within the framework of Space Week 2026. Delegations from 40 countries participated in the event. –0–
