Moscow, July 31 /Xinhua/ — The project “Joy in the Chinese Garden,” symbolizing a new chapter in the cultural dialogue between Russia and China, was opened on Friday on the territory of the Chinese business center “Huamin Park.” The event is intended to ensure an open dialogue between Russia and China and to become a platform for promoting Russian-Chinese humanitarian cooperation.
At the project opening ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, stated that several significant events in bilateral relations are being marked in 2026: the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Russia partnership and strategic interaction relations, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between China and Russia, as well as the commencement of the cross Years of Education between China and Russia.
Zhang Hanhui emphasized that in Russia there is a growing deep interest in the development of China and its culture, so thanks to the project “Joy in the Chinese Garden,” Russians will be able to experience the originality of Chinese culture, discover a multifaceted, vibrant, and surprisingly diverse China.

As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, Bulat Nurmukhanov, the project “Joys in the Chinese Garden” is a vivid continuation of the tradition of friendship and mutual cultural exchange between Russia and China.
“China confidently holds first place in tourist flow to Moscow among countries from afar. Thus, in the first quarter of this year, Moscow was visited by 130 thousand tourists from China. This is 30% more than in the same period last year,” said B. Nurmukhanov.
