Ministry of Sports pavilions “House of Sports” and “GTO Arena” at the “Far East Street” exhibition within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum – 2026.
The Ministry of Sports pavilions “House of Sports” and “GTO Arena” will open at the “Far East Street” exhibition, which will take place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum – 2026. The exhibition organizer is the “Roscongress” Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District.
“Russia has been and remains a great sporting power. Sport is not only about strengthening health. It helps to shape and strengthen character, to be resilient and to test one’s abilities. Such qualities are needed by each of us,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum, Yuri Trutnev.
The pavilions are designed to showcase the rich historical heritage and modern achievements of Russian professional athletes, as well as to explain the opportunities being created for the development of mass sports.
“The ‘House of Sports Pavilion’ at the Eastern Economic Forum will unite all the key institutions of our industry in a single space. Here is represented the entire range of organizations managing the industry: the Ministry of Sport of Russia, the Russian Olympic Committee, the State Museum of Sport, the GTO complex, the Sports Arbitration Chamber. A separate place is occupied by new development tools – the comprehensive state program ‘Sport of Russia’ and the Russian Sports Fund, created by the order of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The pavilion will become a platform for speeches by leading experts, presentations of new projects, professional dialogue, and the exchange of best practices. We invite all forum participants to get acquainted with the modern capabilities of Russian sport,” noted the Minister of Sport, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev.
The exhibition “House of Sports” at the VEF-2026 will be dedicated to the development of domestic sports, its history, achievements, and future. Here, an exhibition organized with the participation of the State Museum of Sports will open, along with a souvenir area and an interactive photo zone “Choose Your Sport,” where visitors can take an engaging survey and determine the most suitable sport based on their preferences and lifestyle. Additionally, thematic business events and meetings with outstanding athletes will be held in the House of Sports lecture hall. Also, the television studio of the Russian Olympic Committee will be launched.
The “GTO Arena” pavilion will operate at the VEF for the fifth consecutive year. Its design will be based on the image of the volcanoes of the Kamchatka region, which are one of the strongest points of attraction of the Far East for residents throughout Russia. The anniversary, fifth open Far East Cup “GTO Games” will be held at the GTO Arena, where adults and juniors from 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District will compete, as well as the strongest GTO all-around athletes from all over Russia.
Anyone interested will be able to complete the GTO standards and test their strength in the GTO Folk Games on the track with sports equipment by performing a simplified set of exercises in the format of real competitions with opponents on adjacent lanes.
