Chongqing, July 23 /Xinhua/ — The number of fatalities from the landslide in the directly governed city of Chongqing (Southwest China) has risen to 11 people, 50 are listed as missing, and another 10 have sustained various injuries. This was reported by local authorities on Thursday.
The incident caused by heavy rains occurred on July 17 at 09:08 on the bank of the Wujiang River in the Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County. More than 10 residential houses were buried under the mountain rock.
