Beijing, July 21 /Xinhua/ — Li Hongzhong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), held a meeting on Tuesday in Beijing with a delegation of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, led by the committee chairman David McAllister.
Li Hongzhong, who is also a member of the CPC Central Committee Politburo, stated that the NPC is ready to support and develop the current momentum of exchanges with the European Parliament, in order to play a positive role in increasing mutual understanding and mutual trust, respecting each other’s core interests, deepening practical cooperation between China and the European Union, as well as jointly upholding multilateralism.
