The government has approved the updated version of the Strategy for Digital Transformation in Public Administration until 2030. Its key directions are the automation of administrative processes and the introduction and application of artificial intelligence.
To date, the Government has been systematically working on optimizing bureaucratic procedures through the implementation of digital technologies, including in document management. A key result is a 10% reduction in the number of documents and an 8% reduction in approvals, as well as a 42% decrease in manual data entry across optimized processes. Additionally, over the past 5 years, the average document approval time has been reduced threefold and now stands at one day, while the issuance time for regulatory acts has decreased by 48 times – down to 15 minutes.
In March 2026, a pilot project for the implementation of AI services at the Government Office site was also launched. More than 130 employees from 8 pilot structural units participated in it. Based on the pilot results, a decision was made to scale AI services to all structural units of the Office, as well as to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into the electronic document management system. Additionally, work began to place the tested AI services on the GAS “Management” platform for use by federal executive authorities and regions.
