Bishkek, July 12 /Xinhua/ — This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China /CPC/. Recently, the Kyrgyz news agency Koom-press published an article by China’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jiangping, in which the diplomat revealed the secrets of the CPC’s success and spoke about its global vision.

“To understand today’s China, it is necessary to understand the Communist Party of China,” Liu Jianping emphasized. She recalled that over 105 years under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people have made a great historical leap from achieving national independence and improving well-being to transforming the country into a strong and prosperous state, creating two globally recognized miracles — the miracle of rapid economic development and the miracle of long-term social stability.

According to the ambassador, the CCP, which had just over 50 members at the time of its founding, has managed to become the largest ruling party in the world, now uniting over 100 million members and more than 5.4 million primary party organizations, and governing a country with a population of over 1.4 billion people. This was made possible by a number of factors.

Firstly, the CPC consistently adheres to the principle of autonomy and independence, confidently determining the correct direction for the country’s development. As Liu Jiangping pointed out, based on the actual national conditions, the party consistently seeks its own development path, without copying models from other countries, continuously implementing theoretical, institutional, and practical innovations, thereby ensuring the advancement of the party and the people in the right direction.

The Chinese diplomat noted that the CPC does not base its decisions on short-term political interests, but is capable of developing plans for five, ten years, and even long-term programs for fifty years, consistently implementing a unified strategic plan. “This ensures long-term stability of China’s socio-economic development and gives the country high resilience in the face of various risks and challenges,” the author of the article emphasized.

Secondly, the CPC consistently adheres to a development concept that places the interests of the people first. “If one looks at global experience, it is hardly possible to find another political party that has so clearly proclaimed in its theory and so consistently implemented in practice the principle that the interests of the people are the starting point and ultimate goal of all its activities. It is equally difficult to find another party that regards selfless service to society, dedication, and willingness to self-sacrifice as fundamental moral requirements for its members,” Liu Jiangping stated.

She noted that at the time of the founding of the PRC, China’s population was about 500 million people, and GDP per capita did not even reach 50 US dollars. Today, with a population of over 1.4 billion people, GDP per capita exceeds 13,000 US dollars, more than 800 million people have been lifted out of poverty, and absolute poverty has been completely eradicated. The average life expectancy has increased from 35 to 79 years. The country has established the largest education and social security systems in the world. The coverage level of nine-year compulsory education exceeds 95%, and over 1.3 billion people are covered by the basic medical insurance system.

Thirdly, the CPC consistently maintains its inherent quality — the ability for bold self-reform. “The ability for self-reform is a distinctive feature that sets the CPC apart from other political parties,” emphasized Liu Jiangping, pointing out that the party is capable of evaluating its own activities according to the demands of the era, maintains a high level of readiness for possible risks and challenges, and continuously improves itself.

Between the 18th and 20th National Congresses of the CPC (2012-2022), more than 4.5 million cases were reviewed by party disciplinary control and state supervision bodies; investigations were initiated against 553 central-level leaders; disciplinary actions were taken against more than 25,000 officials at the department and bureau leadership level, as well as over 182,000 officials at the county and division leadership level. According to statistical studies, the level of satisfaction among the Chinese population with the results of anti-corruption efforts reached 97.4 percent.

Liu Jiangping emphasized that the Communist Party of China dedicates its activities not only to the great cause of the prosperity of the Chinese nation, but also to the noble cause of peace and development for all humanity. The CPC aims not only to ensure the well-being of the Chinese people and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, but also to promote the progress of humanity and the construction of a harmonious world.

“China’s global vision is embodied in concrete practical actions,” noted Liu Jiangping, specifying that China has signed cooperation documents under the Belt and Road Initiative with more than 150 countries and over 30 international organizations, resulting in the launch of more than 3,000 joint projects and the creation of over 420,000 jobs.

Over the past five years, China’s contribution to global economic growth has consistently remained at around 30 percent. The China-Europe freight rail routes cover 236 cities in 26 European countries, while the Maritime Silk Road connects 150 ports in 48 countries and regions worldwide. “On multilateral platforms, China actively advocates the common interests of developing countries, consistently strengthening the role of the Global South in the system of global governance,” the article notes.

According to the diplomat, China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners. The governments of the two countries pursue similar goals in economic development, improving living standards, combating corruption, and enhancing the system of public administration. At the same time, both sides consider ensuring the well-being of the people as the most important criterion for the effectiveness of their activities.

Liu Jiangping pointed out that the Chinese side is ready to work together with the Kyrgyz side to deepen the alignment of national development strategies, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, transport connectivity, scientific and technological innovation, clean energy, digital economy, modern agriculture, and humanitarian exchanges, promoting the building of a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

“We are also ready to strengthen cooperation with the Kyrgyz side within the framework of the UN, SCO, the “China-Central Asia” format, and other multilateral mechanisms in order to jointly make an even more significant contribution to protecting peace and stability in the region and worldwide, as well as to promoting prosperity and development,” concluded the Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. –0–
