Kyiv, July 12 /Xinhua/ — Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced her resignation in a Telegram post on Sunday.
She emphasized that she is ready to continue serving the Ukrainian state and fulfilling tasks aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s positions, protecting its national interests, and achieving a just peace with the Russian Federation.
Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced an update to the country’s government composition in response to external and internal challenges. He also stated that he had proposed Y. Sviridenko to “lead a new important direction in relations with a key partner,” but did not specify the exact position in question.
According to parliamentarian Yaroslav Zheleznyak, Y. Sviridenko may be appointed as Ukraine’s ambassador to the USA. –0–
