From October 14 to 18, the URAL MOTORSPORT team will participate in the “Great Steppe” rally raid, the fourth and final stage of the 2026 Russian Rally-Raid Championship season. The race will take place in the Republic of Kalmykia.
The total distance of the competition will be about one thousand kilometers, of which 935 kilometers will be speed special stages. The rally route is laid out across open steppe terrain, where navigation is mainly carried out using the roadbook, and to a lesser extent by visual landmarks. For T5 category crews, this traditionally becomes a test not only of the reliability of the vehicle but also of the crew’s coordination.
Composition of the URAL MOTORSPORT team crews:
- Yuri Nayman (pilot), Alexander Shmelev (navigator), Dmitry Utev (mechanic)
- Ivan Korolev (pilot), Kirill Vorotnikov (navigator), Egor Baranov (mechanic)
- Anton Kushnikov (pilot), Dmitry Bersenyev (navigator), Andrey Stanislavchuk (mechanic)
“For the final stage of the season, we are fielding a familiar lineup. These pairings have worked together all year and have proven themselves well. We’ll see how the guys perform this time, after which we’ll analyze lineup options for next season. The team is fully prepared for the upcoming rally — this applies to both the vehicles and the crews,” noted URAL MOTORSPORT team leader Viktor Yakovlev.
The “Great Steppe” Baja will be the final stage of the 2026 season for URAL MOTORSPORT in the Russian Rally-Raid Championship.
