According to the plot, during the summer holidays Uncle Fyodor goes again to Prostokvashino to visit the cat Matroskin and the dog Sharik. While the adults are busy with their own affairs, life is bustling in the village: Matroskin launches a lively farming activity, Sharik takes up photography and tries to capture the perfect shot, and Uncle Fyodor himself enjoys his freedom. But one day an unexpected guest appears in the village, changing the usual way of life of the characters. They will have to unite to save their Prostokvashino.

At Mosfilm, the interiors of Uncle Fyodor’s apartment from the two previous films will be restored. Currently, a set is being constructed in the 2nd pavilion. Filming shifts will take place on November 28 and 29.

The young actor Roman Pankov returned to the role of Uncle Fyodor, and Ivan Okhlobystin once again played the postman Pechkin. Pavel Priluchny and Liza Moryak will appear on screen as the parents. Viewers will also meet Arina Kolakhmetova as the girl Katya and other new characters.

“For me, returning to Prostokvashino is always a great joy because during the time working on this story, our team has truly become like family. We know and feel each other so well now that there is a special, almost familial atmosphere on set. And I think this greatly reflects in the film itself. After all, it is impossible to create a truly kind and heartfelt story if behind the scenes there isn’t that very warmth, sincerity, and love that we share with the audience,” said the actor Pavel Priluchny.

Cat Matroskin will once again be voiced by Anton Tabakov, Pavel Derevyanko will voice Sharik, and Darya Blokhina will speak for the Little Raven. The film is directed by Sarik Andreasyan.

More than 5 million people watched the first film in cinemas. And the second — “Winter in Prostokvashino” — is coming to big screens on December 17, 2026. The premiere of the third part is scheduled for 2027.
