Employees of KAMAZ celebrated their professional holiday. According to tradition, solemn meetings were organized at the company’s plants, and the main corporate event took place on Friday, October 2, in the Organ Hall of Naberezhnye Chelny.
On Machine Builder’s Day, employees of the automotive giant were congratulated by the first deputy general director of KAMAZ – executive director Irek Gumerov, the chairman of the company’s trade union organization Ildar Shamilov, and the head of the Executive Committee of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Farid Salakhov.
“Today we honor the mechanical engineers who create magic: metal, raw materials, and supplies enter the factory, and automobiles, electric buses, unbelievably beautiful and technically perfect, come out. And all of this is done by you – our designers, technologists, machine operators, and assembly line workers. Thank you very much for that! Over the past two years, KAMAZ’s market share has doubled. The leader also emphasized that this Mechanical Engineer’s Day is celebrated by the company in a significant year for KAMAZ and the city, a year of a double anniversary. He noted the great contribution of the veterans, as well as the achievements of the modern generation of mechanical engineers who continue their work. “Today, KamAZ workers are creating new vehicles. The K5 vehicle model range is expanding, new models of electric buses are appearing, new capacities of inline engines and new modern axles are being developed. And, of course, we want this to continue, for us to develop and be even more successful. I congratulate you on Machine Builder’s Day! I wish health and well-being to you and your families, and successful development and steady progress to KamAZ. Happy holiday!” – the executive director addressed his colleagues.

The head of the City Executive Committee also noted that the foundations of the character, temperament, and determination of the Chelny machinists were laid by the original builders of the auto giant more than 50 years ago. “More than 50 years ago, our original builders, machinists, came to the banks of the Kama River to build a complex of factories and a wonderful city. In the shortest possible time, they ensured that on February 16, 1976, the first car rolled off the assembly line. They did everything so that even today the people of Chelny move forward, produce new cars, and do everything necessary for our city to become better,” he recalled, wishing that the foundations laid by the veterans would continue to help confidently move forward, create new cars, technologies, implement digital innovations, and always cope with the tasks at hand.
As is customary during the celebration, a ceremony was held to award company employees. The event was preceded by a video titled “Our strength is in unity, our pride is KAMAZ!” On this day, those who embodied this motto were honored. Distinguished awards at the federal, republican, and corporate levels were presented to 39 employees. Their many years of diligent work and significant personal contributions to the development of domestic mechanical engineering were acknowledged.
The festive evening concluded with a concert. The dance ensemble “Tatarstan” performed the choreographic composition “Friendship of Peoples,” and songs were sung by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilsiya Badretdinova. Additionally, an academic choir of the Moscow Metro prepared a musical gift for the employees of the automotive giant.
